Inspiration: John Divola

We have been looking at these photographs from John Divola’s 1977 “Zuma” project, which were all composed in deserted houses along Zuma Beach. He would graffiti the walls and arrange objects and debris to compose photographs of the beach sky through the windows.  This resulted in a series of strange and beautiful images that rest between documentation and abstraction. New Studio

We are finally getting settled into the new Los Angeles studio, where inspiration for SS 2012 is abundant. Sometimes there is so much sunlight beaming through the windows that we have to wear shades inside.
